Genealogy & Local History Library

Discover your family history in our organized, catalogued space. The library contains a wealth of research materials, many of which are original documents, relating to Johnson County and surrounding regions.

The library is open during regular museum hours, with staff and volunteers available to assist with research needs.

    • Affiliate libraries (whether public, special, or university) have access to FamilySearch’s digital genealogical collections that are otherwise accessible only through a FamilySearch family history center. FamilySearch also provides its affiliates with the latest tools and tips for genealogy reference librarians.
